We took a modern approach for Café Liang, taking our inspiration from its double-entendre name -“liang” meaning a pair (there are two locations for the café) and meaning pretty. We deconstructed the Chinese character “liang” and used its components throughout the visual designs for the different menus, creating a modern, graphic look that is still rooted in tradition.
For the banquet menus, we selected botany as our theme, using the Chinese wedding peony flower for the Chinese banquet menu, the rose for the western banquet menu, while bamboo, cherry blossom and the maple leaf was used for social, government and corporate meetings, respectively.
菜单设计
我们为两咖啡设计的视觉形象结合了传统文化和时尚元素,完美地诠释了餐厅多元、休闲的生活风尚。“两”意为成双成对,也因为餐厅分为上下两层用餐空间,同样也想间接表达广东人形容漂亮的“靓”。基于“两”字的对称型字型,我们利用“两”字的不同部分作为元素设计了餐厅的各类菜单。
酒店的宴会服务菜单,我们选择用植物来代表不同的项目。例如,用中国牡丹花代表中式宴会、玫瑰花代表西式宴会、竹子为小型社交宴会、梅花和枫叶分别代表政府及企业类宴会服务。
